Tribute to an Awesome Artist

Quite a few months ago, I happened upon a new artist as I was reading a friend’s blog.  In one blog, about the discipline of daily availing herself to beautiful things, she included links of various artist’s work including drawings, photography, and paintings.  Among these artists I encountered the sensual line drawings of Kyle T. Webster author and artist of  The Daily Figure.  As I perused his drawings I beheld this exquisite drawing of an expecting mom and got really excited at how perfect this print would be for my sister (then only a few months pregnant) who had just found out she was having TWINS!!

I was in the blog/gallery part so I immediately clicked over to the section to shop for prints.  Much to my dismay this particular print was not available for sale.  So being the “eh-what-could-hurt?” kinda girl that I am, I emailed the artist directly asking if there was anyway that he’d be willing to make that print for sale.  I gushed about my sister, how much I adored the print, and what a perfect gift it would make.  To my sheer delight, Kyle wrote back almost immediately letting me know he’d be happy to make the print for sale.   Furthermore he shared that he just happens to be a twin.  How special to have such a beautiful print by an artist who is also a twin!  I was certain that there was some deliciously  magical kindredness happening there.  I was now even more excited to support this fantastically talented and gracious artist and have an amazing piece of artwork to give to my sister.

So, go ahead, mosey on over to The Daily Figure and take a look.  Who knows, you might even find something you like for yourself or someone you know!  The prints are very reasonably priced and come well packaged and arrive in great condition.  Enjoy your asthetically indulging cyber fieldtrip and remember, Ars longa, vita brevis!
