Savvy Mav Tip #72: Thrift Store Art

I love beautiful things.  Even more, I love inexpensive beautiful things.  One of my favorite lazy weekend activities is to prowl around the “bricka-brack” section of local thrift stores.  I collect unique pottery, blown glass jars and vases, and any other cool thing that captures my fancy.  The best thing about it?  Each piece usually costs less than $1!  Sometimes I peruse the art section as well; this is generally more expensive but I’ve found a couple of really lovely pieces for under $20.

The blue is an old Arizona Iced Tea bottle but the other pieces were $0.75 each or less. This is the shelf above my kitchen sink.
