Yes it’s true.  I love them.  I collect them.  I savor them.  I pour over them.  You can find evidence of this in a previous post on The Sweet Sound of Words.  In fact, I love words so much that I can sometimes lose hours reading the dictionary.  And not just the English dictionary, now the Spanish one too. 

My condition manifested in college.  Most likely it initally presented as a conveniently intelligent alternative to studying, a “nerd’s procrastination” if you will.  But then, I liked words so much it continued to be a dangerous thing every time I’d pick up my Webster’s.  Of course, I’ve found ways to curb the symptoms by simply looking up one word at a time using various online resources.

But sometimes this provides me the opportunity to click on synonyms and antonyms and then there is a whole THESAURUS of words and sites that help you rhyme stuff and alliterate stuff and lets just say that the internet is NOT a viable cure for my love of words because there are a plethora of place to find piles of perfectly pleasing ways to pontificate passionately!  Aaaahhh that felt good

As an added bonus, I’ll leave you with a big fat 75cent word for the day: Alexithmyia.  Yeah, my profession is always good for a few humdingers!
