A preposition usually indicates the temporal, spatial or logical relationship of its object to the rest of the sentence.

Maybe we’re all just trying to figure out our relationship to the rest of the sentence, paragraph, story.

Mav, OK, are you kidding me? As if I haven’t wept enough?! This is entirely beautiful and comforting and sacred.
